My inyinirs, i show you my project for a government complex. I only need to fill the area which is inside, and my guests say that the central building of that place must be triangular. The problem for me is that it's not easy to locate in a central place because the triangulation, which triangulation system do you recommend me?. I have been talking with Calatrava's office but they say that the best solution is a curve structure.....but my guests want it triangular. What can i do, my friends?. The time is running for me. I have been working on a project where i am facing an problem wit is as follows :
Reservoir water has become acidic of ph 3+ due to existence of coal mines on the upstream side of the dam. The concrete of the dam has eroded & further deterioration is continued which make the dam stability in danger . To save the front face of the dam , necessary barrier is required to avoid further deterioration.
What type of protective measures should be taken to solve this problem under water condition ?
The Thickness of steel plates of the panstock has reduced by 3 to 6 mm and there is a possibility of bursting of the pipes under the hydro static water pressure. The panstock pipes are lying under ground at about 30 to 40 degree of the power house and it is not possible to replace the whole length with further steel lining .We are of the view that some kind of polymer coating be done inside the panstock under wet condition so as to achieve the required strength of the pipe to the designed value. It may be suggested what kind of polymer coating maybe done & whether the thickness provided may achieve the required design strength of the pipe by bonding with the steel as one unit.

Hi, I cant seem to find the answer to this problem in the book or anywhere on the internet:
- A measurement is made along an incline at an angle of 2o22’ as measured from the TSD. The sloped measurement is 3236.86 ft. What is the corresponding horizontal distance?
- If the horizontal accuracy of problem 1 is to be 1/25,000, to what accuracy must the slope be measured?
What is horizontal accuracy and how do I find the accuracy of the slope using this?
Im only looking for the answer to number 2, I posted number 1 because number 2 references it.

Though the concepts of BIM or Model-Based Design are the same, it’s true that Building Information Modelling (BIM) has its roots in architecture and there is an assumption that the benefits are applicable to architects and only relevant to building design and construction. Assuming that BIM is the future, then would the benefits provided by BIM technology be utilized for infrastructure design pojects using Civil 3D, 12d Model and Bentley InRoads?

SHORT DESCRIPTION: This study aims to produce a reference table of the initial rapid assessment of the flexural serviceability of the reinforced concrete beam in a residential-type structure. The RC beams will be subjected to fire with elevated temperature on certain time durations. The data that will gathered will be used as the basis in designing structures considering the possible effects of fire in the resisting capacity of reinforced concrete beams.

For some unavoidable reasons the curing of the concrete walls couldn't be done in the initial week. But the walls were covered with tarpaulin to prevent quick evaporation of moisture. If now we start moist the wall will it restart hydration process again. If not do we need to get rid of these walls and build it again?

Hi every one, ln steel structures, is it possible to make elastic analysis, got elastic forces and design by plastic method ? I mean use elastic forces multiplyied by load factors and cmplete design with AISC LFRD equatinos! Elastic analysis instead of plastic analysis for LFRD. Thanks in advance

I am in need of designing the reinforcement steel for a simple slab for a home I'm building.
Slab depth must be 15cm (6")
Live load: ~3 kn/m2
Walls/beams 20cm wide
The slab is not supported on all four edges. Edges A and B are not supported.
Please see image attached, red area represents the slab needed, the remaining area will be precast slabs.
Can someone please recommend a steel reinforcement arrangement?
