I have a shed that i need to build. The building length is 17614mm long and 5914mm Wide
Its a cathedral ceiling and i do not want trusses.
I want it made out of timber the only problem i have is that there is no beam for the ridge that is 17614mm long. My thoughts are that if i put a beam LVL spanning from outside wall to outside wall (5914mm Long) and place a ridge prop off that beam say every 6m is that do able and can someone assist me with the sizes of the strutting beam ridge prop and the ridge beam sizes. The roof is only been cladded with Corrugated iron and there is 450mm over hang . The pitch of the roof is 25 degrees.
Any advice would be great
